C-Frame Solenoids
C-Frame Solenoids (sometimes referred to as U-Frame or Open-Frame Solenoids) provide the lowest cost alternative where Size vs. Magnetic Force is concerned. Although the most typical C-Frame Reference Design involves a pull style solenoid, push style solenoids can be provided.
Magnetic force is both reduced and limited by the fact that C-Frame solenoids have steel on only three sides of the device, thereby limiting the magnetic flux path generated by the coil.
C-Frame solenoids are typically used where they will be protected from the environment, and for applications where the lowest possible cost is desired.
